Client Requirements - History Photos

I took this photo whilst I was in the salt mines in Poland. This is a photo of the once King of Poland, carved out of rock salt. I took this photo because it is very historic and suits the topic and also because it is a great piece of work. The focus of the photo is the carved out king.I took this photo using my Ipod 4.


I took this photo whilst I was in Auschwitz during my time in Poland. This is a photo of the outside view of the gas chambers in Auschwitz, wear the Jews were murdered. I took this photo because it is one of or the most historic thing that has happened and this is a big thing in Auschwitz. The focus of the photo is the building which is the gas chamber. This photo has so much history behind it and will bring the audience in to look at it. I took this photo using my Ipod 4.

I took this photo whilst I was on my journeys in Poland, Krakow Square. This  a photo of a statue built to be the greatest pope of Poland. I took this because it is one of the most historic things that Poland has to offer. The pope was the greatest that Poland has ever experienced, The focus of the photo is the statue of the pope. This photo doesn't have a clear focus. I took this photo using my Ipod 4.



I took this photo whilst I was in Auschwitz during my time in Poland. This is a photo of the watchtower in Auschwitz where the guards/soldiers would stay to keep watch of the Jews. I took this photo because this again is a massive thing of Auschwitz and played a big part. This allowed the guards to be more secure. The focus of the photo is the watchtower but no clear focus on the watchtower. I took this photo using my Ipod 4.

Event Photos - Poland trip

 I took this photo when I was in Poland whilst having a tour of Krakow special places. This is a photo of a Ghetto, but newly have been updated and turned into a block of flats. But still have the great Ghetto grey wall. The focus of this is the Buildings. I took this because it has memories. I took this photo using my Ipod 4.

Exhibition Photos - Snowfall

 I took this photo when I visited Auschwitz and is a picture of the snow covering the grass on the side of the rooms. I took the picture because I thought it would attract the audience as there is detail and shows the nature. The focus of the photo is the two buildings on the side and the snow is an attraction but doesn't take the focus away. I took this photo using my Ipod 4.



I took this photo whilst I was in Poland, it is a picture of the countryside of Poland during the winter weather of the snow. I took the photo because it certainly attracts attention. It also has a lot of detail and nature. The focus of the photo is the greenery of the photo. I took the photo using my Ipod 4.






 

I took this photo whilst I was in Poland, it is a picture looking over the frozen river in Krakow. I took the photo because it has so much detail and a lot to catch your eye. The clear focus is the river and looking over it. Also the big inflatable ball in the distance catches the eye. There is plenty of snow in the photo to add more attraction and detail to the photo. In the background you can see the barbed wire and the gas chambers. The focus of this photo is certainly the watchtower. I took this photo because it has loads of detail and it is a meaningful picture and scene. It certainly attracts attention and makes people think. I took this photo using my Ipod 4.

I took this photo when I visited Auschwitz whilst I was in Poland. This is a photo of the railway track of what the Nazis used for transport. I took the photo because there is so much detail and meaning to the picture. You can see the barbed wire far in the background and you can see what really it was like. This photo catches the eye of the audience and attracts attention. I took the photo using my Ipod 4.

For the next part of the Photography unit, i will be taking Exhibition, Concept and Event Photos. I will be using photos from Auschwitz, Poland. I will be doing close ups of anything suitable and Black and white photos.

Using A Camera

This is a step by step showing how to upload a photo on yo your blogger account.

• First said you need the USB cable to go from the camera to the mac, Then I said you need a SD card to save your photo's on.
• Then I said to connect the camera and the mac together.
• Then, you will need a folder to save your photo's in so you can find them.
• You then will also need to back your photo's up on a memory stick.
• Then I said how to upload it to Blogger.
• And then what you are able to do once you have uploaded them.

Rule Of Thirds

The main the focus of this photo is in the middle, This could be changed so the main focus is on the left or right, this would follow the rule of thirds and would add more quality to the photo.









This photo has been edited and now follows the rule of thirds, now it adds more quality and looks more professional. We did this by cropping the photo.

4 PHOTOS.....

1. This is a good photo because it has a main centre of concentration. Also it has different patterns and lines which makes the photo have more detail. It also has lots of different colours which contrast. The texture of this photo seems rough as there is a lot going on and to many different patterns.

2. This photo is good and has the subject matter in the middle which makes it obvious on what we are concentrating on. It has different colours and the grass really does contrast with the other colours as its a lot brighter than anything else. It has different patterns which is what we were looking for and is a good photo because of these reasons. We maybe could crop the photo to make it a bit better.

3. This photo is not great but has lots of different patterns and lines which adds detail, but it has a lot going on and doesn't really make us concentrate on anything, which ruins it a bit. Also the photo is too blurred. The best thing about the photo is the lines and patterns.

4. This photo is good, a bit similar to number 1, but has more patterns, shapes and lines. The arms of the two people are good because they are bent and it contrasts well with the rest of the photo. Also it has good colours and good texture to it.

Analysing a Photo

Can you take a good photo?

Bad Photo:

This is a bad photo because it doesn't make you concentrate on anything and there is too much going on and it just is a poor quality photo. No one is standing out as no one is looking at the camera and it has no meaning ;)
